IMPACTFUL INNOVATION
CONFERENCE

15-16 November 2023

Murcia, Spain

Effective innovation that is not implemented is a missed opportunity.
Join us in transforming missed opportunities into lasting impact.

WHY

WE DO TOO MANY
PILOTS WITH TOO
LITTLE IMPACT

WE INVEST TIME AND MONEY FOR NOTHING

WE GET FRUSTRATION INSTEAD OF VALUE

WE CAN DO BETTER

JOIN US TO CHANGE WASTE INTO IMPACT

WHAT

An impact-first mindset

No more waste. We finish what we start, from ideation to implementation.

A toolkit full of resources

We share learnings and methodologies to deliver sustainable change.

A movement for the brave

Change is not easy, but being impactful gives meaning to our work.

The time is now

Join us to build a better world. Contribute, learn, and spread.

Our movement is aligned with the New European Innovation Agenda when it highlights that ¨Impactful innovation policies … at both EU and national level must keep pace with the changing nature of innovation¨ is one of the challenges at the time of improving the innovation policy-making framework.

Also with the invitation in 2022 from the Council of the European Union to the European Commission to provide ¨expert advice to Member States on how to design, create and implement more impactful innovation policies and public procurement policies fostering innovation, including via the training and capacity building of staff in charge of public procurement¨. Likewise with the 2023 Spanish Presidency´s  focus ¨on strengthening regional and local innovation-oriented ecosystems¨.

FOR WHOM

CHALLENGERS

Organizations with unmet needs that trigger innovation pilots, like hospitals

Get inspired by stories of successes and failures when adopting innovation. Propose your real-world use case in a hands-on table to acquire concrete insights.

Bodies promoting innovation,
like Regional Development Agencies

Understand how new tools can increase impact. Meta-innovate: innovate current innovation instruments.

SOLVERS

Developers of innovative solutions,
like start-ups

Learn to set up innovation pilots to maximise chances of adoption. Contribute with your insights at a hands-on table.

SUPPORTERS

Other members of the ecosystem
like investors or consultancies

Connect and network to deliver and receive value. Become a multiplier for your own good.

PROGRAMME

STORIES

We share experiences of failures and successes when moving from pilots to impact. And by stories we mean that, a conversational approach with first hand experiences. We interview the protagonists and ask them what they learnt and their recommended best practices.

TOOLS

There is a need for meta-innovation. That is innovation on how we support innovation. Do current instruments need to be so complex? What are the alternatives? How do we move from a TRL7 to a 9? And from 9 to procurement? Can other sources of funding be tapped for innovation procurement?

NETWORKING

Connecting with colleagues is a fundamental part of the conference. We devote ample time for it during breaks and the conference dinner on the 15th. We will wear des- criptive badges to facilitate peer discovery.

HANDS ON TABLES

Whole audience debates are complemented with exchanges into smaller groups. In each group, participants exchange their experiences and/or work on a real-world use case. We collect the outputs and put them together in the documentation you take back home. If you want to propose a use case, CONTACT US.

Hands on Tables

On the second day of the conference, 16th November, we hold our Hands-on Tables session. The session is designed to allow ample time for in-depth discussions on a topic of interest. The goal is to encourage the exchange of valuable insights, foster networking, and facilitate traction beyond the conference. The insights will be gathered and shared with all attendees at the end of the session.

Process:

  1. Check the listing of the Hands-on tables.
  2. Identify the one that interests you the most.
  3. Apply to join that Table.
  4. The proposer of the Table will review and provide confirmation within 3 working days.
  5. You must purchase your conference ticket within 5 working days after confirmation to secure their seat. Otherwise, it will be liberated.

Seats are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees who haven’t enrolled on a Table before the conference’s start will join one with a topic proposed by the organisation

PRICES

You can pay with credit card. If you prefer sending a bank transfer, please contact us. Note that VAT needs to be charged to all participants due to EU regulations. We have a free-cancellation policy up to 10 days prior to the conference.
